Space be++ers life
About Us
Changing lives, one home at a time
Apartmentary is a Seoul-based startup founded in 2016 with a mission to disrupt the opaque practices of the 'blind' interior market. Founder Soyeon Yoon's book about her experience of self-decorating her home became a bestseller, which inspired her to launch her first customer-centered service brand with investment from SoftBank Ventures Asia. “Apartmentary” is a combination of apartment and documentary, and it refers to the idea of creating spaces that reflect an individual's personality and lifestyle and documenting their stories, rather than creating a cookie-cutter space.

By introducing innovative services that are hard to find in the existing interior market, such as a price scouting system, a predictable and transparent construction process, and an after-sales service guarantee for one year after completion, Apartmentary has quickly grown to become a favorite among apartment owners in their 30s and 40s in Seoul.

Founder's Story
It all started with one home remodeling
Soyeon Yoon
Founder/Board Member
Yonsei University, Department of Journalism and Broadcasting/Law Former) MBC Programming / Programming PD (2006-2015) Author of <Interior One Book>

Founder Soyeon Yoon looked into remodeling companies before moving into her new home. However, the prices offered by each company varied, and it was unclear whether the service would be possible according to her desired design.

Instead, she decided to spend three months gathering information and calling each contractor by herself. After going around and about, she finally completed the interior she wanted within the budget.

She occasionally wrote about the remodeling process and know-how on her blog. When she compiled her blog posts into a book titled ‘Interior One Book’, it became a bestseller. This was the impetus for CEO Yoon, who had been a PD for nine years, to found ‘Apartmentary’, an apartment interior startup.
