Our remodeling experience puts you, the customer, at the center.
Our design managers engage in a collaborative and thorough planning process with you. We front-load all the planning to ensure that every detail is considered from the very beginning, massively reducing the likelihood of the typical unexpected changes later on (which adds costs and time). By prioritizing transparency and open communication, we make the remodeling experience enjoyable while delivering your project in your style, on time and within budget.
Initial Meeting - Complimentary Consultation

90-minutes
Our initial meeting is a 90-min session where we collaboratively create your “remodeling game plan”. We will step-by-step discuss your style, lifestyle, functional and storage needs, material preferences, and budget and timeline requirements. By the end of the meeting, you get a personalized remodeling plan with detailed scope and budget.
This complimentary session you learn a good understanding of your remodeling project, so you are more confident to approach it. This free session is also helpful for you to assess whether our service is the right fit for you.
In this 90-minute meeting, we will discuss:

Background: Overall background of your project, your family, lifestyle, and personal preferences.

Interior Design Style: We talk through interior design inspirations and elements, to begin to understand what you like, and more importantly, don't like.

Remodeling Scope: We guide you through our remodeling planning checklist and point-by-point discuss the initial direction (flooring, ceiling, doors, paint, lighting, etc.). Rest assured, this is just a starting point and we can adjust along the interior design process.

Materials Intro: We give you a good overview of standard materials options (i.e. flooring, ceiling, tiles, doors, lighting, etc.) for home remodeling in Hong Kong. You will gain a good base of knowledge to make informed decisions with us throughout our interior design journey together.

Budget Goal & Estimate: Once we have made some initial tentative decisions on the scope, features, and materials, we develop and align on a running budget based on our previous remodeling cost data.

Design Planning

6-8 weeks
Our design planning is where we go through a detailed guided flow to personalizes your home to reflect your unique style, while considering all of your lifestyle and practical needs.
From the Remodeling Plan conceived within our Initial Meeting, we hit the ground running on the interior design process. Our interior design process is collaborative, customer-focused, and systematic, all aimed at creating your dream home. This thorough approach ensures two key things:

We don't overlook the details (which happens a lot in the industry and is often expensive to rectify after the design planning process), and;

It allows our design managers to concentrate on you and customize your space to your liking.
SITE MEASUREMENT & INSPECTION
Once we confirm the engagement, one of the first things we will do is to obtain your home's original BD plan and schedule a site visit to verify measurements and perform an initial inspection.
This can be done as soon as the unit is available for site visit. If not, we can get started with the design plans first in parallel.
LAYOUT PLANNING
We begin our interior design process with layout planning, which serves as the foundation for everything that follows. This process helps us develop an comprehensive plan for the space.

Partitioning: If layout changes are necessary, consider all perspectives to adjust the partitioning, with the aim to optimize the flow while minimizing any loss of space.

Ceiling and Lighting Plan: Involving careful consideration of light placement and type to enhance both the atmosphere and functionalities of all spaces.

Storage Planning: With the goal to enhance accessibility while maximizing efficiency, creating a clutter-free environment.

Electrical Plan - Planning the location and type of all the sockets and switches to optimize functionality and user-friendliness.
MOOD BOARDING - FIND YOUR STYLE
This key part of our process involves discussing your inspirations, including any Pinterest images you share, and engaging in mood boarding. This helps us identify the style that resonates with you and how to adapt it to your apartment's specific conditions (size, lighting, layout, etc.).

Visual Communication: Mood boarding provides a clear visual representation of concepts and styles between our design managers and customers.

Alignment of Vision: Align our your vision with our design manager's interpretation, ensuring we are on the same page.

Ideas Exploration: Our design managers and customers go into a creative exploration to experiment with different colors, textures, and materials.

Decision-Making Aid: Our mood boards streamline the decision-making process by presenting options in a useful context.

Focus on Specific Needs: The mood boarding process allows us to uncover specific needs or wants that you might have.

Emotional Impact: Overall, the mood boards should evoke emotions and set the tone for the space, and we revise until we get it exactly right for you!
3D SKETCHES
Once the layout plans and the mood boards are confirmed, it is time to draw them up in 3D visualizations. This phase helps both our design managers and customers to get a great feel for the space, while revising according to the feedback from our customers.
Developing and reviewing the 3D sketches is important step in our ideas exploration, allowing us to experiment with different colors and ideas before final decisions are made.
MATERIAL SELECTION
Your design manager will work with you to recommend and select materials based on your preferences and to create a cohesive design tailored to your apartment's unique characteristics. This stage allows you to visualize how different finishes will look and feel in your space.

COLLABORATIVE BUDGET DEVELOPMENT
At this stage, after material selection, we compile all elements and present a detailed, easy-to-understand final quotation. This allows you to see precisely where your budget is allocated and highlights areas where we've optimized value by identifying key components of your renovation to invest in.
At this stage, we are happy to work with you to make final adjustments to the plan to best fit your budget goals.
Construction

Typically 3-6 months
Based on your timeline and site requirements, we develop and align a construction schedule with you and our construction teams, so we are all looking at the same thing. We give you regular updates based on this schedule.
HOME STYLING
4.
2-3 weeks planning, 1-2 months for delivery
At least 1.5-2 months before the construction handover date, we start your styling plan to help you decorate your home from all the best brands of furniture and decor available in Hong Kong. We we work with you closely to help you source all the furniture and decor. Nothing is too small for us - we drill down to find the perfect cushion until you're fully happy with your new home!
FINAL REVIEW & A-CARE

1 Year
When your new apartment is fully ready, our Design Manager will schedule a Final Review with you. We do a walk through together with you, and Apartmentary guarantees we will address defects we find (within 30 days).
A-Care is our one year warranty and after-care program, begins on the day of Final Review. Simply give us a call or WhatsApp anytime you have any issues with your new home.
We guarantee to fix any defects related to our materials or workmanship. And even beyond that, or if you happen to damage anything (life happens!), we will also repair it at cost.
