Read about how Apartmentary transformed the Poon's family's 769 sq ft apartment at Oscar by the Sea in Tseung Kwan O, blending their travel-inspired vision with functional design. After 20 years, outdated layouts and clutter from souvenirs gave way to a sophisticated, warm family space echoing elegant European hotels.

" One thing we like about Apartmentary is how they combined maximum aesthetics with maximum functionality. The mutual reinforcement is what makes it a good design."

Q. Happy to meet you guys, what are your names?

Karen: Hello, I am Karen, the elder sister from the Poon's family. This is my brother Thomas.

Q. What made you guys want to remodel your home?

Karen: We love travelling because we enjoy spending time together and experiencing different cultures as a family. We moved into this apartment when I was three. The living room was basically empty with nothing but a sofa and TV. Over the course of 20 years, we have been travelling a lot and going on road trips, from where we have collected lots of souvenirs and decor items. As time goes by, they became miscellaneous items that kept piling up. We also noticed cracks in the flooring, that's when we decided to do our first remodelling in 20 years.

Q. What did you like about working with Apartmentary?

Thomas: One thing we like about Apartmentary is how they combined maximum aesthetics with maximum functionality. The mutual reinforcement is what makes it a good design.

Q. Can you talk a bit about the design concept?

Karen: The whole design concept is a combination of minimalism and sophistication. All the elements come together in harmony without looking gaudy. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable which makes it a warm and loving family home.

Q. What did Apartmentary do best?

Karen: From our first meeting, the team has been very sincere and nice to us. The most important thing is that we clicked with each other.

Thomas: Jodie and Ashley were very polite and answered all our questions. They always try their best to solve our problems.

Karen: We also think Apartmentary is reliable. There are a lot of news reports and online cases where renovations are abandoned halfway. Our impression of Apartmentary is that they are trustworthy, always deliver the work on task and on time.

Q. What are your

post-renovation plans?

Thomas: I learnt how to cook recently.

Karen: Our kitchen used to be really small. But after the renovation, we have got more functional space for both of us to cook together at the same time. We are going to invite family and friends over for a housewarming get-together. They will finally be able to see the long-awaited final project after the renovation.

Q. How has the LG WashTower changed your daily routine?

Karen: It's super convenient—we no longer dry clothes outside, even in Hong Kong's humid weather. Laundry is now quick and hassle-free.

Q. What do you love most about the Apartmentary-LG partnership?

Thomas: We're thrilled with how Apartmentary and LG teamed up. The WashTower integrates perfectly, making our kitchen more accessible and our home more efficient.

Q. Is it easy for the whole family to use?

Karen: Absolutely! Even Dad can handle laundry now—its intuitive design means no more struggling with separate machines or balcony drying.
